Summary 0001024: Could not update fontconfig-2.2.3-7
Description The Transaction Check Error occured when updating fontconfig.x86_64 0:2.2.3-7.

Details as follow:

  Transaction Check Error: file /usr/share/man/man5/fonts-conf.5.gz from install of fontconfig-2.2.3-7 conflicts with file from package fontconfig-2.2.3-7

Pls help.

 try this :

yum erase fontconfig-2.2.3-7.i386

and then the yum update, that should solve the problem

 Everything OK now.
yum also remove my gd.i386. But gd still works OK.

 multilib issue thats known to exist in the 4.0 / 4.1 x86_64 tree.

 new pkgs to fix this issue have now been released, you should be able to yum update or run any yum process with no problems on the fonts-conf man page
