Summary |
0002083: xenU kernel RPM missing --with=xenblk for mkinitrd |
|
Description |
When installing kernel-xenU, the initrd is built without xenblk, rendering the system unbootable under Xen using pygrub with that kernel. Workaround is to boot with the previous kernel, and manually run mkinitrd --with=xenblk --omit-scsi-modules --omit-raid-modules ...
IMHO, the xenU kernel RPMS should always include xenblk in initrd. |
|
Additional Information |
Example manual mkinitrd command:
# mkinitrd -v --with=xenblk --omit-scsi-modules --omit-raid-modules /boot/initrd-2.6.9-55.ELxenU.img 2.6.9-55.ELxenU |
