Workaround:- http://bderzhavets.blogspot.com/2008/01/install-centos-5.html [^] |

Another workaround (but not usable during install) from https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=420961 [^] You should be able to do the following: # modprobe sky2 # echo "11ab 4364" > /sys/bus/pci/drivers/sky2/new_id There are however issues with datacorruption with this device on Gigabyte mainboards; so use at your own risk. |

can we close the bug if 5.2 works? |

This bug still exists in 5.2. Workaround submitted by bvermeul works. |

Also did not configure ports with Centos 5.2 x86_64, Asus Rampage II Extreme, core i7, 2gbe 88E8056 ports The RH kernel posted in bugzilla by dzickus does detect them, however: http://people.redhat.com/dzickus/el5/124.el5/x86_64/kernel-2.6.18-124.el5.x86_64.rpm [^] |
