Summary |
0003901: Fatal PCIE Error E171F on PE1950 after monitor type change. |
|
Description |
After changing the monitor type in the Display Settings to LCD Panel 1280x1024 the system throws a hardware level error code on the LCD display in the front of the server.
After a fresh install there are no problems only after chaging the monitor type does the error occur. After the change, and the required log out the CLI Login displays for a split second then the system recycles. The XEN sequence completes and the kernel begins its sequence however at the time the GUI should load, right after Udev. The system recycles again. And goes through the same sequence. |

Additional Information |
Reproducability:
3 different PowerEdge 1950's swapping the harddrive spawns the same error on all three. Reinstall on a new set of harddrives with the same config changes spawns the same error.
If no change to the monitor type is done, there is no error, on any of the machines. |
