| Summary | 0003975: Can not change timezone | |||||||||||
| Description |
I upgraded to CentOS 5.3 from 5.4 by doing a yum upgrade. After the upgrade the timezone was set to UTC so I tried running tzselect to change it to CT. You can see a full screen capture from running tzselect here: http://pastebin.com/m5af09289. [^] Notice how the the before and after times both still have UTC even though I chose America/Chicago. When tzselect didn't work I tried I renamed /etc/localtime and then symlinked that path to /usr/share/zoneinfo/America/Chicago. I then rebooted the system and found that didn't work either. Lastly I changed /etc/sysconfig/clock so it had ZONE="America/Chicago". Then I ran /usr/sbin/tzdata-update and rebooted the system. That didn't work either. How can I change the timezone on my upgraded CentOS 5.4 VMs? |
