Steps To Reproduce#include <zlib.h>

int main() {
    gzFile f = gzopen("/tmp/gztest.gz", "w");
    gzclose(f);
}

Results in an empty file.

Given that CentOS is built from the sources published by RedHat and it aims at reproducing bug-for-bug the behaviour of RHEL, please be as kind as to open this bug at bugzilla.redhat.com => RHEL => 7 => zlib . Once RH publishes a fix, CentOS will automatically inherit it.
