Confirmed with Celeron N3450 This bug seems to be due to the lack of Apollo Lake support in linux kernel until version 4.13. Workarounds : 1- You can disable ACPI by adding "acpi=off" to grub options. You'll get a faster system but you keep a system that doesn't use full processor capacities (most of all turbo boost) nor sensors and power management ; or 2- You can use elrepo kernel-ml. Follow the instructions here https://elrepo.org/tiki/tiki-index.php and there https://elrepo.org/tiki/kernel-ml (Would be) solution : we'd need Centos developers to build Apollo Lake support from kernel 4.13 and more in Centos kernel. I don't know how complicate it is :( |
