Summary0013546: Under Xen, kexec --exec causes VM to shutdown
DescriptionRebooting the kernel using:

kexec --load ...
kexec --exec

cause the VM to shutdown immediately when running under Xen 7.2.
Steps To ReproduceBoot up CentOS 7 minimal ISO as a Xen VM

as root:
kexec --load /boot/vmlinux* --initrd=/boot/initramfs* --reuse-cmdline
kexec --exec

At this point the VM shuts down immediately.
Additional InformationCurrently we suspect this might be caused by CONFIG_XEN_FBDEV_FRONTEND being set to N. We are trying an experiment to see if changing this kernel config parameter will fix it.
