7.4.1708 is not yet public see the mailing list thread at https://lists.centos.org/pipermail/centos/2017-September/166096.html

Thanks

Thanks for the reference. But, shouldn't it be blocked from being rsync'ed as well. We are not specifically pointing to that directory but still getting it which would imply this is available to read but not write which in return throws errors.

@tru The beauty is that the link `centos/7` now points to `7.4.1708` it pretty much breaks *EVERY* rsync mirror out there:

```
[root@inframgtlivexcatmn1.sgdc centos][master !x?]# ls -ld 7 7.4.1708/
lrwxrwxrwx 1 www-data 33 8 Sep 13 13:56 7 -> 7.4.1708
drwx------ 2 root root 4096 Sep 15 06:06 7.4.1708/
```

It seems like I misspoke about the source of the error: *EVERY* rsync mirror out there is *NOT* broken anymore, just the mirrors I initially tried to use are still broken, like `rsync://mirror.0x.sg/centos/` (among those listed in https://www.centos.org/download/mirrors/)
