Summary0014304: Please provide texvc, texcheck and LaTeXml for MediaWiki math markup
DescriptionWe rent a CentOS 7 Vm for a website and a wiki. That's all the machine does. It does not perform other functions like email or ftp. The machine also lacks a compiler though it has Git for fetching scripts.

We want mathematical formula using <math>...</math> markup from the Math extension. Also see https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:Math and https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:Math/advancedSettings .

Unfortunately, CentOS 7 and SCL lack texvc, texcheck and LaTeXml, which are needed for the processing of math equations and formula.

I'm going to try to build texvc and texcheck locally on a VM that attempts to replicate the rented VM. I have reservations about runtime libraries, though. I fear the problems this is going to create.

Please provide texvc, texcheck and LaTeXml for MediaWiki and Math support.

I had hopes that texlive provides what we need, but it appears I was wrong.
