Description | When attempting to spin up an x1e.xlarge in US-EAST-1 (N. Virginia) with the Centos Image listed here: https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/pp/B00O7WM7QW?qid=1559154080727&sr=0-1&ref_=srh_res_product_title you will be presented with an error. | ||||
Steps To Reproduce | Option A) 1) goto https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/pp/B00O7WM7QW?qid=1559154080727&sr=0-1&ref_=srh_res_product_title 2) view instances that this instance can be spun up on Option B) 1) Find an existing AMI that is CentOS7 set instance type to x1e.xlarge 2) walk through tags,security groups etc 3) attempt to spin up the instance. | ||||
Additional Information | After speaking with AWS the cause is because the AMI provider has not included as instance type the AMI can be spin up on | ||||

all x1e instance types: x1e.xlarge x1e.2xlarge x1e.4xlarge x1e.8xlarge x1e.16xlarge x1e.32xlarge centos 7 can not be spun up on any of these instance types. |

Hi. This is something I can act on now if there is no technical blocker. CentOS 7 has supported the ENA requirements since 7.1804. Enabling the instance types is something I can do with the AWS Marketplace team. | |

Is there any way to mark these images as being applicable for all types of x86_64 instances so that they can be used with any, even things that don't currently exist? | |
