Summary0016520: Proxy credentials not sent
DescriptionRunning the installer with the boot ISO behind an authenticating proxy the request to the proxy does not include the provided credentials resulting in a 407 error. No installation source can therefore be reached.

The journalctl log includes three lines suggesting a problem with the proxy URI construction:

anaconda: ui.gui.spokes.installation_source: Failed to parse proxy - username:password@: No host url
anaconda: ui.gui.spokes.installation_source: Failed to parse proxy - None:password@: No host url
anaconda: ui.gui.spokes.installation_source: Failed to parse proxy - None:None@: No host url

Further in the log the dnf configuration is showing the correct proxy information but the download of repodata/repomd.xml fails before that point and so the installation cannot proceed. Running a network trace confirms that no credentials are sent to the proxy. Running the equivalent curl command for repodata/repomd.xml from the installer's terminal window succeeds and the network trace shows the credentials being sent to the proxy as expected.
Steps To ReproduceInstall CentOS with the GUI installer behind an authenticating proxy.
