|Summary||0016829: application that uses ncurses compiled on CentOS 7 paints screen properly but does not compiled on CentOS 8|
|Description||I have a legacy C application that uses ncurses to paint the screen on an xterm terminal. If the application is compiled on CentOS 7, the application executes properly on both CentOS 7 and CentOS 8. If the identical source code and makefile is compiled on CentOS 8, it does not paint the screen properly and outputs a line with interspersed data and apparently screen control characters. The ncurses packages that are installed on the CentOS 8 are ncurses, ncurses-libs, ncurses-devel and ncurses-compat-libs. The release is 7.20180224.el8.|
Is there a bug in the CentOS 8 version of ncurses?
