Hello,
I tested with the full ISO (~7Gb) and same problem, no network device found.
The driver is missing in two ISOs

What is the device ID as shown by the command "lspci -nn" ?

Any drivers missing in the upstream OS (RHEL) will not be in CentOS. You can request the driver to be enabled in the CentOS plus kernel, or ask ELRepo to provide a kmod package.

Hi, the result of lspci -nn :

02:09.0 Ethernet controller [0200]: Broadcom Inc. and subsidiaries BCM4401-B0 100Base-TX [14e4:170c] (rev 02)

I installed on this machine Fedora, see the result of lspci -vv :

02:09.0 Ethernet controller: Broadcom Inc. and subsidiaries BCM4401-B0 100Base-TX (rev 02)
        Subsystem: Dell Device 01e5
        Control: I/O- Mem+ BusMaster+ SpecCycle- MemWINV- VGASnoop- ParErr- Stepping- SERR+ FastB2B- DisINTx-
        Status: Cap+ 66MHz- UDF- FastB2B- ParErr- DEVSEL=fast >TAbort- <TAbort- <MAbort- >SERR- <PERR- INTx-
        Latency: 64
Interrupt: pin A routed to IRQ 21
        Region 0: Memory at dfcfe000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=8K]
        Capabilities: <access denied>
        Kernel driver in use: b44
        Kernel modules: b44

In fedora, the module is into the kernel :
[labo@localhost /lib/modules/5.3.16-300.fc31.x86_64]$ find . -iname "b44*"
./kernel/drivers/net/ethernet/broadcom/b44.ko.xz

As you noted, your device [14e4:170c] is supported by the b44 driver. Unfortunately this is one of those removed from RHEL 8 (therefore CentOS 8). It can be enabled in the centosplus kernel, but not the distro kernel. You can also ask ELRepo to build a kmod package for b44.

In any case, installing the OS would require a DUD (driver update disk) for the b44 driver. ELRepo may be able to provide it.

OK, you can close this bug. I will try to use an other kernel

The b44 driver is enabled in kernel-plus-4.18.0-147.3.1.el8_1.centos.plus.
