|Summary||0017041: document how SIGs should build and ship "centos-release-*" packages for EL8|
|Description||There is a "core7-extras-common-el7.centos" target in CBS.|
There is no corresponding "core8-extras-common-el8.centos" target in CBS yet.
1) Should there be a corresponding el8 build target and associated tags?
2) Once we build our SIG's "centos-release-ceph-nautilus" package in that target and tag it to core8-extras-common-release, should we expect it to ship in the "extras" repo here:

Thank you for opening this case.
For el8 we have new challenges as the -release packages need to be built in mbox koji (https://koji.mbox.centos.org/koji/builds).
I'll update the -devel mailing list when we have a plan and ETA.
|Would you please say more about why the -release package cannot be built in cbs.centos.org?|
hi, I might have missed updates on centos-devel; do we have at this point a process to build new centos-release-ceph-nautilus.el8 packages in cbs.centos.org like we used to do for centos7
if not, is there a new/different process which would allow us to create the *release* package for distribution in core8-extras-common-* ?
