|Target Version||Fixed in Version|
|Summary||0017168: Latest AWS AMI for CentOS 6 does not support t3a instance types|
|Description||Trying to launch an instance of ami-0db8e77c005d79e33 (CentOS 6 from marketplace) with any of the t3a.* instance types will fail with:|
An error occurred (UnsupportedOperation) when calling the RunInstances operation: The instance configuration for this AWS Marketplace product is not supported. Please see the AWS Marketplace site for more information about supported instance types, regions, and operating systems.
If I check on the marketplace I can see the t3a.* options are not listed. Seems the same as #16053 (which was for CentOS 7)
|Steps To Reproduce||Run command below:|
$ aws ec2 run-instances --image-id ami-0db8e77c005d79e33 --count 1 --instance-type t3a.medium
It's also possible to reproduce via the AWS console, just select a t3a.* instance type and attempt to launch. It will fail and show the same error in the UI.
