|Summary||0017403: create repo for "fmt", dependency for ceph-15 (octopus)|
|Description||As I was building ceph-15 for the Storage SIG I discovered that I needed a package (fmt) that wasn't already available from earlier/lower versions of Ceph.|
As a short term solution I just added the fmt.spec into the ceph repo. Ideally though I would rather have it in its own repo, as I'm sure everyone else would prefer that too.
I originally created https://bugs.centos.org/view.php?id=17402 in BuildSys/git.centos.org and see that it was assigned to kbsingh, but I suspect that's a mistake. You can close that bug. (Not sure why I can't close my own bugs myself.)

Assuming that it's only one package, why aren't just building it through one of the other existing tags ? (and then tag-built it to where you'd need it)
I don't think that creating a whole repo (and so other -release pkg) would be the most efficient way of dealing with this.
And if Ceph needs it, it's just a Requires: artifact that can be built through ceph koji tags ?
After discussion on irc, I got it right : it was a git repo on git.centos.org and not specific koji tags.
It's now created : https://git.centos.org/rpms/fmt .. so closing request
