Description | Yum update to 8.2.2004 results in machine that does not proceed beyond manufacturer's initial splash screen on reboot. Errors observed during yum update are attached. | ||||
Steps To Reproduce | Run yum update and allow upgrade to 8.2.2004. Slick & reload + yum update produces same results. | ||||
Additional Information | Affected machine is Toshiba P55W-C5200X configured for UEFI boot. Boot options in BIOS are grayed out and UEFI cannot be de-selected. | ||||

I have the same problem on my laptop toshiba satelite p50-b-11m this is not acceptable, I totally lost all my work in linux and also in windows When I installed (trying to do dual boot) my centos 8 stream, it screwed up my windows partition which was there but not possible to boot. And now the centos is totally screwed I even though that my ssd disk was broken and dismounted the laptop ... |

Yes, it seems that centos 7 has the same problem. You have to use USB installer. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1861977#c7 |
