| Description | the samba4 management tool does not seem to be included in any of the samba4 packages provided by the CentOS repos. Samba source download (version 4.10.4 to match the installed RPMs) from the samba websute, compiled and "make install" certainly includes the tool. This tool is integral with DC management be it a samba4 DC or an external AD. Not sure why the tool is omitted from something like the "samba-common-tools" or "samba-dc" or simply the "samba" server package. | ||||

CentOS is a rebuild of the sources used to create RHEL. We do not modify anything except to remove branding and logos. You will need to submit your request to Redhat via bugzilla.redhat.com and if/when RH accepts it and incorporates it into RHEL and releases a patched version, then CentOS will pick it up and rebuild it. |
