Summary0017792: os-release different between RHEL and Centos
DescriptionIs it not possible to get the CentOS full version added into the os-release like RHEL did? I see some tools like OCS NG and distro have inconsistent results when querying CentOS full version. On RHEL I get this from os-release on 7 and 8 where you can see the 8.2 and 7.9 full version. It would make my life a lot easier if I can query all my supported OS from the same file to get the full version. Is there any reason to differ from RHEL in this?

# distro
Name: CentOS Linux 7 (Core)
Version: 7 (Core)
Codename: Core

# cat /etc/centos-release
CentOS Linux release 8.2.2004 (Core)
Additional InformationOn CentOS there's /etc/redhat-release (which is a symbolic link to centos-release). When I create an asset register for the various Linux servers use it would help if I can get the full version from all the Linux distros using the same method.
