Summary | 0017825: iab ( abbrerevation feature ) - seems to be broken.
Description | My .vimrc has some 'iab' abbrevations, and I'm not able to get this feature to work on either RHEL or Centos 8.
Steps To Reproduce | vim -u --noplugin ( making sure we start clean, no .vimrc or plugins ) :iab<enter> ( command mode, verifies the above. Now create a one ) :iab hello world<cr> i (go to insert mode) hello<cr> (hello should be replaced by world, but it is not) This works on upstream Fedora 22 and 23, and older releases of RHEL / CentOS. Only actually tried this on CentOS 8.2 in the 8 series. Upsteam rpm : vim-enhanced-8.2.1885-1.fc33.x86_64 ( working ) Current latest CentOS : vim-enhanced-8.0.1763-13.el8.x86_64 ( has this issue )

Hello ???? | |
CentOS Linux 8 ended its life on December 31, 2021 and, therefore, is no longer supported.
Still same bug in Stream. Don't see the point in re-posting it as I expect it to still be silently ignored until EOL.
Bugs related to CentOS Stream should go to Red Hat bugailla. For details please see : https://wiki.centos.org/ReportBugs |
