Summary | 0017995: Unable to access or copy AMIs of official AWS CentOS account 125523088429
Description | Screenshot: https://imgur.com/MeAGK5D I understand that the images are public, but maybe their snapshots are not? Previous mail exchange from June 2020: https://www.spinics.net/lists/centos-devel/msg18776.html
Steps To Reproduce | Search in the AWS console in the AMI section, and right click on the CentOS images. I was expecting to be able to copy the AMI to my account, but got the error of: "You do not have permission to access the storage of this ami". I am also unable to use aws cli to create instances from the advertised AMI IDs, currently appearing the CentOS wiki ( https://wiki.centos.org/Cloud/AWS ). For instance, on the eu-west-3 region: "aws ec2 run-instances --image-id ami-0286c81df9e81730d --count 1 --instance-type a1.medium An error occurred (Unsupported) when calling the RunInstances operation: The requested configuration is currently not supported. Please check the documentation for supported configurations." (note: it is advertised in the Wiki that this image should work with a1.* instances.)
Additional Information | I am interested in the aarch64 CentOS 7.9 images.
