Description | https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHBA-2020:4046 is missing from updates and cause a failure for CentOS 8.3 clients to PXE boot under CentOS 7.9. Steps To Reproduce | Fully updated C7 systems produces a PXE (grub2) "timeout reading" the now much larger initrd from CentOS 8.3 | ||||

I can confirm that a straight "rpmbuild --rebuild" of the src.rpm and subsequent install of affected rpms does allow PXE function as expected. | |
this version of grub is waiting for a new shim .. i suppose we can build it with the old shim. | |
