Summary | 0018111: OVH Openstack VPS crashes on boot on kernel kernel-3.10.0-1160.21.1.el7
Description | Hi, I rebooted my VPS this morning and it failed to come back. After doing some checking, I realized that the system panics on boot. I took a screenshot and attached it to this issue. If I revert to an older kernel version it works fine. This is an OVH VPS running on OpenStack. Cheers, Álex
Steps To Reproduce | install kernel-3.10.0-1160.21.1.el7 and reboot.

Looks like the panic you get when yum was interrupted in mid-update and it never created the initramfs for that kernel. Run `yum reinstall kernel-3.10.0-1062.21.1.el7` to have another go.
Oh, damn, I just blocked the kernel version and moved on (I wanted to get the server back on as soon as possible). Yes, you are right, it's working now, sorry! |
