Description | This will cuz disk extend too larger than maximum, and then make disk hang, fail, or died in sometime | ||||
Steps To Reproduce | sfdisk /dev/xvda -N 2 --no-reread ,+ sfdisk /dev/xvda -N 2 --no-reread ,+,8e sfdisk /dev/xvda -N 2 --no-reread ,+ 8e partx -u /dev/xvda pvresize /dev/xvda2 lvextend -r /dev/mapper/centos-root /dev/xvda2 | ||||
Additional Information | after this will have show error on every minute second ... etc .. > buffer i/o error on device /dev/xvda2 logical .... asynz page read after reboot and type command `pvs` > Device /dev/xvda2 has size of 20971377 sectors which is smaller than corresponding PV size of 20971520 sectors. Was device resized? | ||||
