Steps To Reproduce | Update AWS instance via "yum update" and try to modify instance type to newest instance type. | ||||

Suspect this might be relevant? https://twitter.com/spotfoss/status/1602713194086154240?s=20 : "... possible to do SEV-SNP with Linux on m6a.metal AWS instances. They had to build a custom kernel to do it (to pull in the SEV-SNP changes) ..." AWS on r6a here https://aws.amazon.com/ec2/instance-types/r6a/ links to AMD-SEV mention here https://developer.amd.com/sev/ Yet in my case recently r6i works; while c6a, m6a, r6a failed. (I would have suspected m6i to work; unlike your description). |
