|Summary||0018507: The repodata folder is missing from vault.centos.org in several locations.|
|Description||The repodata folder is missing from the following folders:|
This also applies to all matching subfolders under https://vault.centos.org/altarch/7.9.2009/ for all supported architectures.
|Steps To Reproduce||Try to `yum update` on a CentOS 7.9.2009 system or Docker image which uses https://vault.centos.org/ as a repository.|
|Additional Information||These folders and their contents appear to correctly exist on https://mirror.centos.org/.|

vault's purpose is to provide the sources used to create the packages for all CentOS versions that were ever released, as well as to provide access to older archived versions ( which are removed from the mirrors ).
In order to use yum update, please point your system(s) to a valid current mirror because vault was never intended to be used as updated tree for installing or even updating an existing CentOS installation. To be fully honest I am surprised that the binary packages for the current minor release even exist on vault, the correct place to download them from are the mirrors.
