Summary | 0018567: SELinux is preventing /usr/libexec/snapd/snapd from 'search' accesses on the directory /proc/sys/fs/binfmt_misc.
Description | Description of problem: SELinux is preventing /usr/libexec/snapd/snapd from 'search' accesses on the directory /proc/sys/fs/binfmt_misc. ***** Plugin catchall (100. confidence) suggests ************************** If you believe that snapd should be allowed search access on the binfmt_misc directory by default. Then you should report this as a bug. You can generate a local policy module to allow this access. Do allow this access for now by executing: # ausearch -c 'snapd' --raw | audit2allow -M my-snapd # semodule -i my-snapd.pp Additional Information: Source Context system_u:system_r:snappy_t:s0 Target Context system_u:object_r:binfmt_misc_fs_t:s0 Target Objects /proc/sys/fs/binfmt_misc [ dir ] Source snapd Source Path /usr/libexec/snapd/snapd Port <Unknown> Host (removed) Source RPM Packages snapd-2.57.6-2.el7.x86_64 Target RPM Packages Policy RPM selinux-policy-3.13.1-268.el7_9.2.noarch Selinux Enabled True Policy Type targeted Enforcing Mode Enforcing Host Name (removed) Platform Linux (removed) 3.10.0-1160.83.1.el7.x86_64 #1 SMP Wed Jan 25 16:41:43 UTC 2023 x86_64 x86_64 Alert Count 3 First Seen 2023-02-19 22:43:37 IST Last Seen 2023-02-27 00:11:50 IST Local ID c1af5d39-ba98-4d4f-a28f-2d0a59917852 Raw Audit Messages type=AVC msg=audit(1677436910.863:3537): avc: denied { search } for pid=20943 comm="snapd" name="/" dev="binfmt_misc" ino=1 scontext=system_u:system_r:snappy_t:s0 tcontext=system_u:object_r:binfmt_misc_fs_t:s0 tclass=dir permissive=1 type=SYSCALL msg=audit(1677436910.863:3537): arch=x86_64 syscall=newfstatat success=no exit=ENOENT a0=ffffffffffffff9c a1=c00003a390 a2=c0000a3218 a3=0 items=0 ppid=1 pid=20943 auid=4294967295 uid=0 gid=0 euid=0 suid=0 fsuid=0 egid=0 sgid=0 fsgid=0 tty=(none) ses=4294967295 comm=snapd exe=/usr/libexec/snapd/snapd subj=system_u:system_r:snappy_t:s0 key=(null) Hash: snapd,snappy_t,binfmt_misc_fs_t,dir,search Version-Release number of selected component: selinux-policy-3.13.1-268.el7_9.2.noarch

snapd is not provided by Centos so you'd better file a bug against the provider of the package ( EPEL, probably ).
