| Summary | 0003136: do_IRQ stack overflow 496 | ||||||||
| Description | With 2.6.9-67.0.22.plus.c4smp our disk server recently crashed with: do_IRQ stack overflow 496 about the only useful information on the console. I'm moving to 2.6.9-78.0.1.plus.c4smp now, but wondering if the centos plus kernel should move away from 4k stacks. I'm using a jfs filesystem and I've heard rumours that some other filesystems need more stack. | ||||||||

I had a similar crash with 2.6.9-78.0.22.plus.c4smp and using xfs (which I have also heard has stack issues). |

According to Eric Sandeen, this should be fixed in 2.6.9-78.8.EL and beyond. Will try with 2.6.9-89.0.3.EL. |
