| Description | More and more VPS providers are realizing that they are providing access to hardware at a datacenter, and nothing more. One of the leaders is linode. Linode offers centos, but without SELinux. As SELinux is very important, I've tried booting the stock xen kernel via PV-Grub and failed. It would be nice if we could get the Xen kernel to boot via PV-Grub. | ||||||||||||

According to that article, these options are required: CONFIG_PARAVIRT_GUEST=y CONFIG_XEN=y CONFIG_PARAVIRT=y CONFIG_PARAVIRT_CLOCK=y CONFIG_XEN_BLKDEV_FRONTEND=y CONFIG_XEN_NETDEV_FRONTEND=y CONFIG_HVC_XEN=y CONFIG_XEN_BALLOON=y CONFIG_XEN_SCRUB_PAGES=y I think this can be done in the centosplus kernel (after testing). |

It looks like (most of) these options are unavailable in the current CentOS kernel. Enabling them requires a newer kernel. |
