Change to Minor issue.
Work around is to mark set the existing partitions to be formated.
I was installing over the top of an existing 5.6/7 system and did not mark any partitions to be formatted.

scp failed from the GUI error message.

You need to scp to ssh server and you network should be up, alternatively you can switch to virtual terminal (ctl-alt-F2) and scp from there (scp /tmp/*.log <user@remote_server>:/<dir>).

The logs are required to diagnostic this issue.
