If you say it works with a recompiled glibc from 6.1 - what happens when you update to that via the CR repository? See http://wiki.centos.org/AdditionalResources/Repositories/CR

ah okay, after patching. I guess you should take this upstream then at bugzilla.redhat.com - if no bug report of this sort appears there.

I look at bugzilla.redhat.com, there is similiar problem in Fedora it is marked as closed but problem is present in rhel61 too.
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=720176
I don't known if to submit a report for RHEL 61 too.

Hmmm, looks like the fix is for Fedora 16, which is more than "brand new". If you are running the latest glibc on CentOS (as said, upgrade via CR repository, that should give you 2.12-1.25.el6_1.3), then you can safely open a bug report for RHEL 6 if the error persists. This needs to be fixed upstream.

Ok, I reported it to upstream RHEL 6. It will be fixed in glibc-2.12-1.48.el6.

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=752122#c7 :(
will not be fixed for 6.2. So we can only expect 6.3 timeframe.
