Summary0005321: Internal Mic not working on dell latitude E5520
DescriptionInternal Mic not working on dell latitude E5520.
I can access to sound admin panel, but the device not works.
Also if i try to record a track with Sound Record program, i cannot heard nothing

Get a similar problem on a Compaq C733TU / Pulse Audio driver since CENTOS 6.1 update.
When connecting an external microphone (Hercule webcam delux), the microphone provide a distorted sound to the recipient (metallic/compressed like sound). The video channel webcam is not detected too.

It seems mic now is working after the new kernel update (2.6.32-220.2.1.el6.i686) although the sound is distorted

Not for me.
On my Compaq CU733 running 2.6.32-220.2.1.el6.i686, the internal microphone is still not detected (were correctly detected on the first CentOs v6 release). If i connect an external USB Webcam+microphone (Hercule Delux one 4780401), then the microphone is detected with a distorted sound and the webcam not detected.

My Hardware is detected and my speakers work fine.

For me, the microphone is not recognized at all. I haven't use it for long time but it did work in the past.
I have the latest 6.3 release and I've loaded all updates.
