Summary0005691: yum --installroot accepts empty string
DescriptionWhen the --installroot option is invoked with yum using a relative path, it fails stating that relative paths are not allowed. However, when using --installroot= or a combination of scripting that results in an empty string to be set as installroot, yum accepts it without failure, and proceed to install to the /.
Steps To Reproduce1. yum --installroot= groupinstall Base # installs directly on top of /
Additional InformationThe expected result is to either alert the user to the mistake, or to move the verification of absolute/relative path to during the parsing of error, or to fail on empty installroot.

This seems like a great RFE -- request for enhancement upstream, but is there a suggestion that the CentOS behavior does not match the existing product, upstream?
