Summary0005742: Any kernel after 2.6.32-220.2.1 reports kernel panic while booting.
DescriptionAny kernel after 2.6.32-220.2.1 reports kernel panic while booting.
Tested with all released versions, but mostly with centos.plus kernels.

I am booting from RAID1 and the rest of the partitions are on RAID10, both mdraid. Root, swap and home partitions are on LVM.

While booting dracut in debugging mode (rdshell and rdinitdebug) it complains about not being able to access LVM partitions.
Last "normal" output is that it founds my SATA drives and DVD-RW:
sd 4:0:0:0: [sdc] Attached SCSI disk
......
sd 3:0:0:0: [sdc] Attached SCSI CD-ROM sr0
dracut: Warning: no root device "block:/dev/mapper/vg_kancelarija-LV_C6_ROOT" found
dracut: Warning: LVM vg_kancelarija-LV_C6_ROOT not found
dracut: Warning: LVM vg_kancelarija-LV_C6_SWAP not found

Steps To ReproduceInstall new kernel and boot using new kernel.
Additional InformationGRUB kernel line:
kernel /vmlinuz-2.6.32-220.17.1.el6.centos.plus.x86_64 ro root=/dev/mapper/vg_kancelarija-LV_C6_ROOT rd_LVM_LV=vg_kancelarija/LV_C6_ROOT rd_MD
_UUID=38669557:34ca61eb:3c6e8827:d562f15d rd_LVM_LV=vg_kancelarija/LV_C6_SWAP rd_NO_LUKS rd_NO_DM LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SYSFONT=latarcyrheb-sun16 KEYBOARDT
YPE=pc KEYTABLE=us crashkernel=128M rhgb quiet nouveau.modeset=0 rdblacklist=nouveau

I have had space problems on /boot partition (only 100MB) before, so I first remove oldest unused kernel, but I am not convinced that should have anything to do with this.

I am going to (again I think) rebuild initramfs for new kernel with mdadmconf. I would hate to have to write this bug report again so I will save it and test that new initramfs and then take it from there.

Rebuilding initramfs with "mdadmconf" did not help, kernel panic still appears and boot is halted.

Please advise what info I am to provide you with.

I have set this to "private" status, but I am unable to change it to public (I thought I will be able to do that).
