Summary0005753: Rsyslog Daemon will ignore the Configuration File
DescriptionThe Startscript as implemented in 6.2 does not use the rsyslog configuration file /etc/rsyslog.conf.
Steps To ReproduceWhen I stop the daemon and start rsyslog via /sbin/rsyslogd the custom rules take effect.
But on /etc/init.d/rsyslog start they won't take effect.

rsyslog has been bumped to 5.8.10 in CentOS-6.3. Do you still experience this issue? When updating please check the rsyslog.conf.rpmnew file if it is present and compare the changes between the new file and your configuration.
