Product Version6.2
Target VersionFixed in Version
Summary0005815: kdebase-workspace writes OVER file, NOT renaming to .rpmnew
Description(6.3 in product version missing)

When 6.2 got updated to 6.3, kdebase-workspace-4.3.4-23.el6.x86_64 wrote OVER
my own file /usr/share/kde4/apps/kdisplay/app-defaults/ and my backup
file of the orginal file
/usr/share/kde4/apps/kdisplay/app-defaults/ ...

It should have renamed the NEW to and not had
removed the file. The file doesnt matter however.

It was NOT funny to figure out what it should be in it. My /usr/share is
never backuped in any of my systems and I dont expect CentOS (Or Redhat?)
to break stuff.

How it looked after the update:
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 640 Jan 5 2008
-rw-r--r--. 1 root root 640 Jan 5 2008

In case it get broken again, here is what I added for my own reference:

emacs*Background: MidnightBlue
emacs*Foreground: Gold
emacs*pointerColor: Orchid
emacs*cursorColor: Orchid
emacs*bitmapIcon: on
emacs*font: fixed
emacs*geometry: 96x40
emacs*toolBar: 0

that's the expect behaviour since this file is not tagged as 'config' file.

[tru@c6-esxi ~]$ rpm -qf /usr/share/kde4/apps/kdisplay/app-defaults/
[tru@c6-esxi ~]$ rpm -qlc kdebase-workspace

Please RFE upstream for a fix.
