Steps To ReproduceJust make copies of important data. Or make a copy of 5GB through the 'dd' command. Or even do a test of HD performance analysis through disk utility. It can also be seen using the bonnie++.
Additional InformationAlready updated firmware and controller bios through MegaCLI.
've Also updated all software and firmware bios motherboard: Intel SC2600CP4IOC.
The RAID controller card is an Intel RS25DB080, fully updated.
The discs are 4 Seagate ST3600057SS 600GB SAS 15Krpm setup Raid 10 across the raid controller card and backplane supermicro.

Note:

installing the kernel source of Centos 6.3, copying the 05.40 megaraid_sas version for RHEL 6.3, recompiling the kernel and using this version of megaraid_sas, the machine was very stable, occurring only 1 freeze using bonnie++. The situation was more stable I got so far in this environment.

Continuing with the tests done the following:

* Downloaded the driver megaraid_sas-06.12 from the site LSI.com
* Recompiled the kernel source current
* I made copies of basic tests with the tar command.

Errors have appeared quickly in the kernel log.

The version megaraid_sas-06.12 showed more unstable than the version-megaraid_sas-05.40. At least for my environment :(

Using megaraid_sas-05.40 version :

the server has copied 150GB over the network for 4 hours without experiencing any driver error. Unlike all other versions tested.

Only bonnie++ managed to freeze the machine for one time in 10 minutes of heavy tests.

See the result of the same tar command that caused freezing with the other versions tested.
No reset with version megaraid_sas-05.40 :

I have an LSI 9271-8i, when i got it I also got problems with the the drive connected to the controller going off line. After many days of google search I found adding "pcie_aspm=off disable_msi=1" to the kernel options in grub resolved the problem.

I believe the problem is related to the PCI-E bus going into a sleep mode and the LSI card not being able to recover correctly after being woken up.

I'm seeing the same thing with our 9271-8i's and so far the "pcie_aspm=off disable_msi=1" parameters seem to help.

First, kill -9 these two processes

pgrep -fl raid
1810 /usr/bin/daemon /etc/init.d/megaraidsas-statusd check_megaraidsas
1811 /bin/sh /etc/init.d/megaraidsas-statusd check_megaraidsas

Second, turn off all of $(ls -l /etc/init.d/megaraid*statusd)

Use MegaCli or MegaCli64 -ldinfo for monitoring RAID status instead.
