DescriptionThe Adaptec 29160LP SCSI controller and attached tape devices (Quantum LTO3 and Dell 124T library) are not recognized under Centos 7 although they work fine under Centos 6.5 and lower
Steps To ReproduceInstall Centos 7 and run lsscsi and/or dmesg | less to see that the devices are not recognized. Without changing any hardware or bios setting boot from Centos-6.5 live CD and devices are now avalable.

As you can see at (section 4.4 ) ( which is a mirror of the documentation that was published by RH when RHEL7 beta was made available ), suport for your card ( aic7xxx ) was discontinued. Unfortunately this piece of info does not longer seem to be available directly from RH ( at least not for non-subscribers )

The best CentOS can do for you is to include it in the centosplus kernel ( assuming it is not already included ).

An alternate approach would be to contact and see if if it is possible for them to ship this driver as a kmod ( kernel module ) package.

OTOH given that CentOS 6 is supported till 2020, you could just use that instead of 7
