Summary0007524: Radeon driver with a Radeon R7 260X card: screen goes black
DescriptionI have a Asus H87M-PRO Mainboard with a Asus R7260X-DC2OC-2GD5 Graficard.

The default radeon driver makes problems as suddenly the
monitor becomes black, sometimes the image comes back after 5 seconds,
sometime not and I had to reset(!).

The card is shown by lspci like this:

01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Bonaire XTX [Radeon R7 260X]

During boot a warning was shown:

radeon 0000:01:00.0: Invalid ROM contents

And here are the kernel log statements which have been produced during the
monitor showing no image:

In the meantime, I have installed the latest
AMD fglrx beta driver linux-amd-catalyst-14.6-beta-v1.0-jul11.zip,
which works fine.

Please be as kind as to report your issue to bugzilla.redhat.com against RHEL 7 the Xorg component. Once RedHat fixes this issue it will be automatically be picked by CentOS. Please use the "external bug tracker" fields in bugzilla to crosslink with CentOS bug #7524

As of replacement driver, I got in touch with ElRepo (http://elrepo.org/bugs/view.php?id=503) and asked them if they could ship the fglrx driver as kmod.
