|Summary||0007585: Having an hfs+ partition on the disk crashes the install process (failed to find hfsplus-tools)|
|Description||When installing on a gpt hard drive where there is already one or more OSX partition formatted as hfs+ the installer will crash after the format stage with an "unknown error". It looks like the error is that it is unable to find the hfsplus-tools package. My installation does not touch the hfs+ partitions and so obviously does not use or need the hfsplus tools to proceed.|
When I deleted those partitions but kept everything else the same, the install progressed as expected.
|Steps To Reproduce||Partition a hard drive with gpt. I used gparted|
Create one or more hfs+ partitions. I did this using OSX diskutil and erased and reformatted a partition to create them. These were not core storage LV but simply primary partitions on the drive.
Install using a custom layout. I had some ext2 and ext3 partitions which I used and chose to reformat during the install - did not touch the hfs+
The install begins but dies very quickly when the first package is looked for.
Removing the partitions using gparted gives the expected behaviour of a smooth install.
|Additional Information||Cannot upload the anaconda logs since I did not get far enough to store them.|
