DescriptionWith a default installation of augeas on centos 7 :

$ augtool

error: Syntax error in lens definition

Installed packages :

Ok this is more tricky than that.

I cannot reproduce anymore in a new VM.

I can only think that build.aug and yum.aug were somehow mixed up on disk, or corrupt (rpm -V augeas-libs), e.g. build.aug from an el6 or el7-beta build, and yum.aug from el7.0.

I see the same behavior on 7.0.1406. Removing yum.aug appears to mitigate. FWIW, I had installed Puppet 3.7.3 and used it to install the augeas package.
