Summary0007817: Can't do diskless install via NFS
DescriptionI'm doing a kickstart-based automated disk-less install using pxeboot, tftp, and NFS. I'm using the nfsiso option to NFS mount the whole ISO. It tells me there is no mount point provided, but its the one thats supposed to supply that, not me!

[ 40.959598] localhost dracut-initqueue[564]: anaconda mounting NFS repo at nfsiso:nolock,rsize=65536,wsize=65536:/Public/ISOs/CentOS-7.0-1406-x86_64-Everything.iso

FIX Found:

This is happening because of ",nfsvers=3". I don't know if the comma causes problems when you don't have other NFS options, so I added some just to make sure.

The other problem is that I use nfs version 4 which is the default these days. Why is the installer forcing nfs 3 on everyone? NFS 3 uses a different naming convention so I had to add one more directory to the path that nfs4 obscures. Adding this finally made it work. Does anyone really need NFS3 that can't add that option themself rather than forcing this on everyone else that doesn't need it?

Please remove this!

Please file your suggestions for improvements via bugzilla.redhat.com.
CentOS Linux is just a rebuild from the sources provided by Red Hat and replicates to the best of our ability the behaviour of RHEL, feature for feature ( and bug for bug ). Thank you.

OK - sometimes distributions want to check bugs themselves and then push changes upstream so that upstream doesn't say "thats not our problem tell them" - I don't see a button to close this bug. Go ahead and mark as resolution found or something.
