Summary | 0007865: Elantech Touchpad Not Working Properly |
---|
Description | I have problems with Elantech Touchpad (ACER E1-532 NB) – it does not work, almost at all. The cursor moves with jerky motion (perhaps one jump per second), or not at all buttons are not working either. I have no problems on Fedora 20. I tried using evtest from F19 and it seems kernel (or is it XOrg? – sorry if I misfiled the bug) is sending only a couple of state messages as opposed to Fedora, where I get continuous stream of messages whenever I drag finger on it. It also generates no messages on either button click. Again, with Fedora, it generates a couple of messages with each button click. |
---|
Steps To Reproduce | Try to use Elantech Touchpad with CentOS 7. |
---|
Additional Information | It's not a HW problem, and probably also not a config problem. In Fedora it works without issues. I don't know how to try with vanila/mainstream kernel, as I'm using secure boot and can't get anything out of CentOS's official repos to boot... |
