|Summary||0008274: OS X can't read CentOS 7 DVD|
|Description||While CentOS 6.6 DVD is readable to OS X (Yosemite 10.10.2) CentOS 7 DVD isn't.|
Have the mkisofs parameters changed between the two?
|Steps To Reproduce||Insert DVD with contents of CentOS-7.0-1406-x86_64-DVD.iso to a OS X computer and you get error message with options "Ignore" or "Eject" disk.|
Insert DVD with contents of http://ftp.funet.fi/pub/mirrors/centos.org/6.6/isos/x86_64/CentOS-6.6-x86_64-bin-DVD1.iso this works as expected and is readable with OS X.
|Additional Information||Both DVDs are readable on Linux and Windows, but CentOS 7 DVD is not readable on OS X.|
If I regenerate the ISO-image file according to http://trateotu.proxy.nl/create-your-custom-centos-install-disc-in-mac-os-x/ instructions, then the produced DVD is readable with OS X.
This problem can be circumvented using the ISO-image-file directly with Parallels virtual host install, but I'd expect that the DVD burned from the original ISO-image would work.

|regenerating the ISO-image file per the additional note does not work since hdiutil will not recognize the CentOS 7.0 DVD iso as a mountable file system - Yosemite 10.10.2|
|Am I the only one believing that this is a bug that should be opened against Yosemite ( for incomplete support for hybrid isos ) rather than against CentOS ?|
|I would help to have the specifics regarding what aspect of hybrid iso's is used in CentOS 7.0 dvd that is not supported on Yosemite. Then providing a bug report to Apple can be done.|
