Summary0008578: Need access to ci.centos.org for CPython upstream testing
DescriptionWe need access to ci.centos.org for testing patches for CPython (Python Programming language).

Things we need:

* Jenkins account
* One vm to keep some scripts for the tests

Additional InformationThis will be used as PoC for CPython upstream. We want to see if we can use this infrastructure as the formal CI for the language

I am a CPython Core developer, and also director at Python Software foundation. We will report back the test results to #python-devel and devel list (in future).

Nick Coghlan will also help me out in this effort.

Things we are going to do in the tests:

2 different flows.

Flow 1
----------

1. yum install the build dependencies
2. hg clone https://hg.python.org/cpython
3. ./configure --with-pydebug
4. make -j2
5. ./python -m test -j0

Report back the test results

Flow 2
----------

1. yum install the build dependencies
2. hg clone https://hg.python.org/cpython
3. Download and apply the new patch
4. ./configure --with-pydebug
5. make -j2
6. ./python -m test -j0

Report back the test results

Kushal, how are the return reports going to be sent ? Asking, so we can make sure any plugins needed in Jenkins are installed.

Just to confirm : nothing itself will be built on the slave VM, but rather a script will run on that slave to use a bare-metal node provisioned by Duffy middleware (http://wiki.centos.org/QaWiki/CI/Duffy)

Yes, that is true. No build will happen on the vm.
