Summary0009787: docker-storage-setup exit too early when not using LVM as root device
DescriptionI'm using sda2 as my root device, and want to setup overlay as STORAGE_DRIVER for docker.
Steps To Reproduce1 edit /etc/sysconfig/docker-storage-setup file, and write STORAGE_DRIVER=overlay into it.
2 sudo /bin/docker-storage-setup
and get output as below:
  Volume group "sda2" not found
  Cannot process volume group sda2
No volume group has been specified and root device volume group could not be determined. Exiting.
3 /etc/sysconfig/docker-storage file remains unchanged.
Additional Information/bin/docker-storage-setup in docker-1.8.2-7.el7.centos.x86_64 run incorrectly as above.
The script in docker-1.7.1-115.el7.x86_64 changed /etc/sysconfig/docker-storage file as expected, but gave some garbage message about lvmetad.
I think, when I choose overlay, the script SHOULD NOT try to get information about LVM.
